Dolce & Gabbana Launches First Real Estate Project
Italian luxury brand Dolce & Gabbana has partnered with JDSDevelopmentGroup to launch its first real estate project and condo-hotel in the United States. The Brickell 888 condo-hotel in Miami was designed to provide privacy to both owners and hotel guests, with private entrances for each. The hotel features the brand's signature aesthetic, with black, gold and red colors intertwined in the interior design. The hotel has 250 rooms and suites, six food and beverage outlets, a ground floor restaurant, and two bars in the lobby, complementing its hardware.
Uniqlo and Inès de la Fressange end decade-long partnership
Uniqlo, the Japanese fast fashion brand, has announced that its collaboration with French fashion icon Inès de la Fressange will come to an end with the Spring/Summer 2024 co-branded collection. The collection, available from April 11th, will showcase Inès de la Fressange's Parisian style and feature classic pieces such as trench coats, cotton shirts, and Breton-style knit tops.
Miu Miu Literary Club's first event in Milan
The Miu Miu Literary Club is coming to Milan for the first time with the theme 'Writing Life'. The two-day event will revisit the iconic works of Sibilla Aleramo and Alba De Céspedes. It will also include a series of dialogues, live performances, and entertainment to further define Miu Miu's commitment to the advancement of contemporary thought. The event theme is inspired by Europe's literary salons and artistic communities, as well as the lives of women today and in the past as depicted in the written word. It will take place at the Circolo Filologico in Milan on April 17th and 18th from 3pm to 9pm.
Chanel Flap Bag Sells for Over €10,000 in Paris
According to a recent report by Bloomberg, the price of a classic Chanel medium flap bag in Paris has surpassed €10,000 for the first time, marking a 6.2% increase from €9,700 earlier this year. Chanel typically reviews product prices biannually, in September and March. A Chanel spokesperson stated that the brand's handbags are priced at cost, and that the price adjustments are due to rising raw material prices and production costs. The price increase will take effect in all markets on March 27, 2024, with an average adjustment rate of approximately 6%.
